As a student and collector of art for over 50 years, Dr. Jim L. Raughton has enjoyed many roles in Colorado Springs that have improved the arts and culture experience in the region. His service as the former chair of the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center and his recent work on the Colorado Springs Planning Commission and the Steering Committee for the Comprehensive Plan for the City has greatly impacted the burgeoning metropolis. During this Conversation, Jim Raughton will speak on the arts in celebration of Colorado Springs’ 150th anniversary, noting the region’s special history in the arts and noteworthy contributions by its artists and organizations.
